Why Can We Sell This Land?

I, Daniel J. Arnold, do hereby represent and warrant the following:

• I, individually, am the sole member, owner and President of Friends of the Abraham Lincoln Historical Farm, LLC with Federal Employer Identification # 26-1209704, Illinois Articles of Organization Charter # 0234-591-9 and Illinois Business Registration number 5568-1522.

• The 4 acres of farm land once owned by Abraham Lincoln the 16th President of the United States of America which are platted as lots 1, 2, 3, and 4 of the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Farm Plat in Coles County, Illinois, was purchased in its entirety by Friends of the Abraham Lincoln Historical Farm, LLC in September 2007. It continues to have at the present time and into the foreseeable future, the full authority, economic and legal ownership of this property.

• I, as the President, sole member and owner of this entity and its property, have authorized the legal sale to the public of undivided fractional ownership interests in this historical land.

• The sale of these ownership interests are made in the form of property deeds which transfer economic rights and interests to the purchaser as stated on the deed itself.

• The sale of these deeds can be made directly by Friends of the Abraham Lincoln Historical Farm, LLC or through charitable third-party organizations for fund-raising purposes.

• A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each deed are donated to benefit charitable organizations.
